About Me
I grew up in Merrick, NY a medium sized town about 20 minutes from New York City. I have two younger sisters both with families and children - one lives nearby, the other back east. I went to college in Massachusetts, and after graduation I lived and worked in New York City. I moved to San Francisco about 12 years ago and absolutely love it! My sister and cousin live within walking distance and we see each other often.
My Life
Most days you will find me outdoors with family or friends. I love spending time with friends, and am often at the beach or the park. I enjoy crafty projects and can always find something to take apart and fix. I like to read, and watch movies and some sports - tennis, baseball, and hockey (depending of course, on who's playing). Traveling has always been a great passion of mine. I’ve visited many other countries and enjoyed learning about different cultures. In fact, I'm hoping to go to Alaska this year with a friend.
I've always loved being around children and as a teenager I babysat for my sisters, cousins, and neighbors. I also spent several summers working as a camp counselor. I love being with my nieces and nephews, and often invite myself to spend the day with my friends and their children. I’m excited to share my experiences and more with my child. There is so much I want to give! I’m really ready and happy to welcome a child into my life.
I have a loveable dog Cody and a cat called Magnet. Both are sweet and affectionate and love everybody. In fact, whenever kids come to visit, the first thing they do is look for Cody and Magnet!
My Work
I have a great job that I love - I am a self-employed marketing consultant and work for companies when they need extra help. I usually work for large financial companies and high tech firms. Being my own boss allows me to make my own schedule and work from home several days a week. I usually take time off between jobs to visit family or travel. Once my baby arrives, I plan on working part time so I can be home to raise my child.
